ELEMENTAL is going to perform poorly at the box-office, and it's a thousand percent because of Bob Chapek's short-sighted decision to tarnish the Pixar brand by dumping three of their movies to direct-to-video on demand. That makes me really sad, honestly.

BARBIE is gonna make more money for WB in one weekend than the entire theatrical run of THE FLASH, and I hope the main takeaway here is that audiences want to watch movies shot practically as much as possible where real actors are on a set reading lines in front of one another.

Sony did a black Spider-man in 2018 with INTO THE SPIDER-VERSE and it was easily the best Spider-man movie since SPIDER-MAN 2. Not because the character was black, but because it told a really good story. Just tell a good story.

The box-office is hurting in part because studios neutered film criticism by trading the promise of endless positive reviews with access. But only a critic who can dish out a negative review will provoke a boost of interest with a positive one. If everything is great, nothing is.

Aside from a few fragile egos, critical reception for my MIB neuralyzer thread has been positive. Many liked their sub-tweet, replied "thanks for including me" or "guilty as charged" and a few asked to be included. Most pros in this industry do not take themselves too seriously.

SPECIAL DELIVERY (2022) is like a South Korean remake of Edgar Wright's Baby Driver with Parasite's Park So-Dam as the driver. I can confirm it's just as entertaining as it sounds. Add it to your watch list.

JOHN WICK 3 was made by filmmakers who care unconditionally about the world they created and feel like the last sequel didn't reach as high as it could. Everything on display is bigger, better and more cleverly constructed. Keanu is cementing himself as a true action legend.
