I don’t “speedrun” my mixes, I use my knowledge and experience to streamline my process.

Mixing Myth
#1
: You should always put a high pass filter right below the fundamental
Why this is wrong: EQ is only possible by phase shifting. A phase shift can cause you to lose headroom in your mix, and a high pass filter will cause this phenomenon most severely.

Compression, clipping, and limiting are all distortion!
Figuring out which is the best for you to use in your mix is a balance of what you gain for what you lose.
