@PhilOnEdTech It’s much more interesting than that, and imho the hot take gossip on this focusses on the wrong side of the delivery-integrity equation. (My view based on public info only & independent of my partner relationship with the company.) It’s smart and on-mission: scale, access.

@DonaldClark Yes, it challenges base assumptions about teaching, curriculum & the purpose of instruction (& something about time and currency). Assessment & qualifications follow. Other ways of evidencing competency will emerge in their wake, and orgs built on the legacy model will fall away.

@timbocop Though on campus learning is pretty much online learning these days, punctuated by brief interludes of synchronous activity in rooms.

@timbocop It’s always been that way. The theories are the same though the practice differs. I suppose there is some theory about eg visual design elements which is special to the mode, but the teaching stuff isn’t that different.
