This is an unmitigated disaster for Irish healthcare and a grave disappointment for HSCPs who are primed and ready to support our public. For our SLT peers who have been left bitterly disappointed this week, we stand with you.
IASLT is disappointed by the HSE plans to extend the recruitment freeze & to include Health & Social Care professionals. During a particularly challenging recruitment period for the HSE, this decision will impact negatively on patient care @BernardGloster

Great to see @iaslt acknowledge the risks of CDNT structures that are lacking in terms of clinical governance, lacking in terms of opportunities for clinical specialisation and lacking in terms of not enabling clinicians to make a timely, meaningful difference to service users.
