@spacedoutsmiles @KieranRose7 Totally! So many myths about PECS, and people training others when they've not sat the training themselves. Bit of a chinese whispers type thing. Implemented correctly it works well, it doesn't suit all people with communication difficulties, we would never claim that.

Friday Fact: PECS prioritises teaching initiation. A prompt is used to help an emerging communicator be successful. If the learner protests/resists we immediately stop. We never require communication. Our goal is for independent, autonomous communication
