Player choice may sound appealing to some, but at this point in the story, it would feel like an unnecessary concession rather than a natural evolution of the narrative. FF7R has already established itself as an adaptation that respects the OG while reinterpreting and adding story bits where necessary. By Part 3, Cloud’s relationships should be firmly set to maintain the emotional weight of the story. The OG didn’t have meaningful player-driven romance past a certain point—so why introduce artificial choice now? I'd rather see the writers fully commit to their intended vision rather than dilute the narrative just for the sake of optionality.
