Thank you to the staff at @ShowcaseCinemas Avonmeads for giving me a framed piece of the iconic carpet. I’ve loved going to Showcase Avonmeads for as long as I can remember. I was sad to see the old carpet go but I will make sure to give this piece a good home. 1/2

Btw when I say stuff like this I wanna make it clear I’ve got no beef with the staff (who are always lovely) or Showcase. It’s hard running a cinema these days, but I love the charming old school tile signs and wish they could stay.

Sampled the delights of Cineworld Yate this evening. The outside was nothing to write home about but I was shocked by the shiny floors and colourful lights within. Are they all like this? Not a patch on Avonmeads of course, but I have to appreciate the effort.
