@GoldenStripesLS @artparkindia We haven't designed this for sewers, but I am curious to know why this type of a platform is needed for sewers. Happy to understand the problem.

@neurolifesaadan @artparkindia Not entirely true. Some of the Electronic parts are from china, which are unavoidable for any company. Actuators, legs, torso, and the software are made here.

Currently Aditya Sagi is leading the efforts, and I will be supporting from IISc as mentor/advisor. We are also actively looking to fill roles at all levels. Please reach out to us at connect@strider-robotics.in if you are interested.

@dhruv2038 @FieryEngineer @Contenidoi20008 @8 In 2015, my expenditure was 1000$ per month as a graduate student, and I was living like a cockroach. This is a lot by Indian standards. If you have like 5-6 roommates, sleep on the floor, eat dal chawal thrice a day, internships, student jobs etc then even 1 year is possible :)

@Contenidoi20008 @8 This is not correct. Living expenses are very high there. I don't have the exact numbers, but education loan repayment is typically 5-7 years.

@dhruv2038 Only if one writes the GATE exams. There are other ways to get admits like CFTI degrees with gpa of 8.0 and above. But, yes still very competitive. There are many who prefer to stay home.

@karmiconnect108 Nevertheless, even if we remove cost out of the equation, I would bet on IISc growing faster than UMich. If India grows then the univs also grow. Just to give an example, Tsinghua was literally an unknown during my time. Now it is considered to be at the top.

@PseudoProphet It works for some. A lot of the youth need education and guidance. Upskilling is an important piece in career growth.

@book__snippets Even at IISc, organizations like ARTPARK are setup to provide impetus. All of it is funded by the government. We first have to create industries here, jobs will naturally flow.

@SwarnadipS_Left In 2008? It was far lesser. I haven't included living expenses here. Only tuition and other fees. CMU all inclusive would have been 50 lakhs I guess.

@book__snippets Move to us makes sense if you wish to work with latest tech. Settling down is not an option anymore. H1B lottery system is rigged. Greencard waiting period is 15 years+. How is this different from bonded labour? Students getting exploited and they don't even realize it.

@learning_pt The loan is repaid over a duration of 5-7 years. But the problem is H1B allotments and many other constraints. Living is not cheap there.
