"So, how does it matter if you are not able to export 95,000 tonnes?". Hmm. Do European subsidiaries of Indian steel firms not export to the US ? I'd like to think the Union steel secretary was aware of what tariffs will mean.

Is it just me or is the Mahakumbh seeing a sharper surge of pilgrims as it winds down ? Either fomo or good reports from those who went in the first half. And even 300 km traffic jams is not a deterrent.

Karnataka has become the first state in India to implement the Supreme Court’s ruling on the right to die with dignity. A directive allowing the withholding or withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment for terminally ill patients with no hope of recovery has been issued by the Health Department. Decisions regarding treatment will be taken by designated medical boards with approval from the patient’s next of kin, ensuring a structured legal process. Advance Medical Directives (living wills) have also been introduced, allowing individuals to document their medical preferences in advance. #RightToDieWithDignity #EndOfLifeCare #Healthcare

Hopefully they're taking over the 7 Hills facility. Please keep one entire wing for palliative care/long term/adult day care. At the very least 250 beds. Not everyone has the space or the resources to care for ailing elderly - those with alzheimers/paralysis et al.

This is why protests are the default to get govts to resolve issues. Why couldn't they have shared the FFC report for folks to understand why such steep hikes were suggested. That said, public were invited to give suggestions. How many politicians and unions gave their views?

I empathise with NRIs having to plan taxes in India. This crazy decision last year on indexation has caused so much chaos. Folks have debt fund redemptions before and after July 2024 and there's no clarity if indexation is permitted in the former and not in the latter.

So who gave the permission and why wasn't the beat cop aware of it. That's governance failure. I sort of understand the cop - assuming he didn't know & did not wish to get hauled up for not maintaining order if the crowd swelled and things got out of hand.
#BREAKING: Ed Sheeran on his Instagram Stories says that they had prior permission to perform impromptu at Church Street in Bengaluru and yet the Cops unplugged their performance midway. Quite embarrassing and totally avoidable controversy.

@bisprad @nitin_gadkari @MORTHIndia They have cameras. Start fining the truck owner a thousand bucks for every 10 metres a truck or tempo is in the right lane and see compliance go up. On Saturday I was behind a BEST bus that stopped in the middle lane. The bus stop was blocked by a handcart in between two tempos
