As part of the #MIRNA (Maternal Immunization Readiness Network in Asia/Africa) Consortium, we recently conducted a multi-stakeholder workshop in Khi, engaging policymakers, program managers, technical experts, to assess readiness for the introduction of new maternal vaccines.

#Ehsaas Programme is widely acclaimed for providing financial protection during the pandemic, providing cash assistance to vulnerable Pakistanis. There could have been no better person to lead the initiative than @SaniaNishtar. This book is a gift to the world from #Pakistan
Written prior to joining Gavi, my new book “Delivering Welfare at Scale” presents my lived experience of leading the largest social protection programme in Pakistan’s history from conceptualisation to delivery—Ehsaas (meaning compassion in Urdu). I dedicated my book to the people of Pakistan whose right to social protection remains unrealised, because as my country grapples with multiple challenges, the need for welfare has never been so urgent. All royalties earned from the sale of the book will be donated to charity.

We have enough evidence now to make social protection a mandatory part of all TB control programmes in high TB burden countries @GlobalFund needs to work with country governments to make this possible
