I've had such a fun time this week with our fabulous 1st yr students talking soil and looking forward to the growing year ahead. I love the energy and enthusiasm from the group and can't wait to see their plots flourish in the coming months.#nodigday @charlesdowding @The_RHS
This week our first year diploma students started their allotment project, beginning with soil preparation. They learned about the no dig method, which encourages diverse life in the soil and promotes a healthy and nutritious environment to grow crops. Happy #NoDigDay 2022!

We finished the @RHSWisley students' week long study tour with a wonderful tour of @NewbyHall with @LawrenceWright3. A real highlight and lots to talk about from hedges to the exciting rock garden project to planting styles and maintenance. A great end to a great week.

@charlesdowding @RHSWisley Thank you for inspiring our compost area Charles! I can see lots of comments here about alternatives. We have other set ups at Wisley and have bins made of pallets in our wildlife garden & smaller bins in our Clore teaching garden.We hope lots of people are inspired to compost!
