Opening grass cover done with @cosyfarms today, 941kgsDM/ha giving the farm a winter growth of 4kgsDM/ha. Next thing is to do up a spring budget and follow up with fertiliser on any paddock that did not get slurry yet. Soil temp varied from 5.3 to 6.6 °C south facing fields

An opening farm cover for @John61806159 yesterday of 978kgs DM/ha after last walk 6 weeks ago. Growth for that time was 7kgs DM/day! Soil temperature was 6.1 °C Spring grass budget completed on @PastureBase from February to 1st April.

Was great to be back out grass measuring with @John61806159 yesterday. Soil temperature was at 6.1 °C We worked out a plan for early slurry applications on low covers of less than 600/700 kgs DM/ha when weather is suitable and also a grazing plan for 1st Feb
