Great question - no decision mechanism works "best" for every scenario. What is cool about a protocol based capital allocation mechanism is it can morph or be adjusted for the types of impact you are looking for. If you want moonshot innovation - design a program and clarify outcome parameters for your Guardians. Want a program focused on web3 Gaming? Build a program staffed with Gaming Guardians... Want a program that engages the community? Grab a subset of Citizen Guardians - and get their input! There are vectors - 1) start with great builders & make it easy for them to build and 2) engage experienced Guardians - people who have the context to make good decisions for the ecosystem.

This is where is gets exciting! $100 per review would not excite me. But then, Web3 doesn't need someone like me or you making low value / mechanistic decisions - that is the realm of AI. Guardians focus on complex decisions that have material value - and if we are making a $100K decision, isn't that worth a bit more diligence?

This is why web3 grants can be more efficient than IRL. We eliminate stranded expertise by sharing across ecosystems - creating a new role in Web3 - The Guardian. A verified and well-paid full-time role where experts are rewarded for decisions that deliver value. How to pay for it? Imagine if we were just 20% more effective in our spend...

@bigcujo_ My 8yo. I spent 20 years delivering shareholder returns. Web3 allows him to deliver stakeholder returns.

@TheDevanshMehta Committees and crowds don't make great decisions because: (choose your favorite) bias, incompetence, indifference, inattention... how about pools of experts - who have the proven context, are paid well, and who are rewarded for getting the "right" answer:
