Short thread about where I feel the source of my mentality issues come from, this feels like a big moment for me and my journey towards solving my mentality problems in Strive, if you all could give this a read and share your thoughts on it I'd really appreciate it <3.
I think I've hit a breakthrough in terms of my mentality, my ego is holding me back. My ego tells me that losing isn't something to be learned from, it's something to be ashamed of. I feel bad when I lose because my ego tells me I should be better than that, when instead I (1/4)

Colloquial terms and names for moves is one of my favorite things about fighting games. If you ask Strive players what this move's name is, 99% of people will call it "Beyblade", instead of the move's actual name.

May hate doesn't get to me as much anymore as it used to, like yeah it's annoying and I'll tweet about it sometimes but you shouldn't let someone hating your character make you feel bad for playing them if you enjoy them.Just drown it out and keep doing your thing
Man it feels bad to have your efforts discredited cause you play Johnny or have people decline sets / stop midset cause of your character. I know you're free to choose who you're playing against but it's just a bad feeling.

Seeing an I-No in my path as May this patch feels like how I imagine a spider feels seeing a fly in its web. I almost feel bad until I hit a CH 5H and the dopamine rush hits. At that point I feel nothing but glee in my heart and eagerly await the next one to fly into my web.
