My grandparents and mom are from a small village in Morocco where a huge Jewish community used to live, we still have a Jewish cemetery and there is still a synagogue that is taken care of by my family and others. My (grand)parents never taught us to hate Jews.

When I used to have a part time job at a bakery and had to leave the house at 6am and it was still dark outside, I wore an oversized jacket and a cap to cover my hair and was walking like a "man" to themetrostation, just to make sure nobody would approach me.. it's crazy I know..

Hij had kunnen beginnen met " goedemorgen collega's, even voorstellen ik ben.." Dan was het ook snel duidelijk geweest, mochten ze studenten zijn geweest, hadden ze dat meteen aangegeven en dan had hij zijn punt kunnen maken. Vriendelijkheid kost niets 😊

Ik weet niet of het helpt maar mijn liefste oma woonde heel ver weg en zag ik alleen maar 1x in het jaar. De beste herinneringen waren haar liefde en warmte, en ik kon kind zijn bij haar met heel weinig. Breed had ze het niet want mijn ouders droegen bij aan haar huishouden.
