There we have it, ladies and gentlemen. To all those who dismissed the supposedly outlandish accusations of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Gaza over the last year, the real motives and objectives are now in open plain sight for us all to see and hear. Will we continue to play deaf, dumb and blind to the pre-planned slaughter and displacement of the Palestinian people including hundreds of thousands of children?

The grieving Palestinian grandfather who was the gentlest of souls touching hearts worldwide has been mercilessly murdered this morning in a refugee camp. May he be reunited in paradise with his beautiful granddaughter with whom he longed to be. Let the perpetrators of genocide be aware that they make take bodies and land but they will never attain the hearts and souls of those in Gaza nor those of the general masses worldwide. If this message had been sent by an Arab to an Israeli Jew with the reference to ‘Muslim’ changed to ‘Jew’ there would rightly be action taken and an uproar from the media, politicians and professional organisations about the anti-semitism. Yet when such Islamophobic messages are sent to Muslims, there is a deafening silence.

I received this message today. Just one of many similar messages I regularly receive from Israeli nationalists. It’s a good insight into how such people think and behave and why it’s so easy for them to be part of a decades long racist system of apartheid, ethnic cleansing and genocide against the Palestinians.

It’s bad enough when you herd thousands of civilians into one of the last remaining designated safe zones on sandy dunes in Al-Mawasi that has virtually no infrastructure and is widely regarded as a recipe for disaster from a health perspective, but then you massacre them by bombing the tents of displaced Palestinians with bombs that cause craters 9 metres (30 feet) deep and you expect us to believe you are just and the guardians of civilian life?
