Airport routine:
Get through security in 5 mins
Wait half hour in burger king queue
Eat most disappointing meal of my life
Awful pint of Guinness
Order second pint at other bar in hopes it will be better
Plane suddenly boarding
Chug pint
Need to piss for all of flight
Dublin Street photographers really need to take ethics into account when they're shooting. I know you're trying to create deep art with a narrative on contemporary society but photographing homeless people and addicts when they're unaware is wrong. And it's not original. Stop
It's genuinely so disturbing to me how openly racist and far right leaning Ireland is becoming. If you click into the replies or quote tweets of any tweets to do with POC or LGBTQ+ people on any of the large national platforms like RTÉ, it's just filled with abuse. I hate it
I really wish people would stop laughing like "haha uneducated trasksuit scumbags" and realise that these people are being radicalized by fascists who are using lockdowns and frustration to make people shift towards their hateful agendas.
It's so concerning
@cmatbaby
in Fairview tonight was possibly the best gig I've ever been to. I've been following CMAT since her debut single and knew she'd make it big - 8000 people in Fairview. Just wow. Legendary stuff
There's no place for that abuse in Ireland. We're supposed to be a progressive country. I thought we were making progress here but this year, it feels like the far right are emerging and trying to push us back to the 60s. It's just so disgusting and disturbing
Like stop exploiting people for your "art".
I just came across an instagram account filled with photos of homeless people, with no context or story and they looked completely unaware of their photos being taken.
Don't do it. Come up with some other ideas
Barrier for TLDP Dublin night 2 of 2 and an absolutely insane setlist. Tonight was wayyyyy better than last night and I'm not sure how that's even possible?? Just incredible, nobody is doing it like them
5th time seeing
@lastdinnerparty
last night, 6th time tonight. They just keep getting better, absolutely incredible gig, it felt like the Olympia was purpose built for their exact vibe. Brilliant support from Kaeto and Lucia & The Best Boys.
Let's do it all again later :)
Oh God this is starting to gain traction kinda fast.
It's only a matter of time before the "patriots" find it.
When they do inevitably arrive, I'll be blocking them all :)
Thank you to everyone pointing out that there's toilets on planes. Unfortunately I'm stubborn and awkward and have that stupid Irish politeness and don't want to ask the entire row to stand up so I can go. Flight was only an hour anyway!
Also this wasn't supposed to blow up 😭
Last night I was elected as the President of IADT Students' Union 2023-24. I'm so grateful to everyone who voted for me and I can't wait to get started in July.
But for now it's time to finish up the degree and enjoy my last few weeks as a student
Actually, can we also talk about the people on Irish tiktok that are obsessed with using the word j***kie and how there's so many vids that are dehumanizing addicts.
Please don't use that word. I used to use it myself before I knew it was dehumanizing, then I stopped immediately

I've never really posted any of my film shots on here since I'm only relatively new to film but here's a few of my favorites from around Dublin (thread)

@LASTDlNNERPARTY
Here's a clip I recorded of it 😭
The same thing happened when Abigail was crowdsurfing during Nothing Matters and they nearly carried her out the door 😭
Just ordered 2 prints, everyone should check this out. There's some very talented photographers on there. 100% of profits are going towards BLM causes 😊

Hello, I'm Seán and I'm a BA (Hons) photography student from the midlands of Ireland
Here's some recent analogue work with no particular focus.
My documentary practice has a focus on place and also the climate crisis (currently unpublished)

The National Photography Collection at the
@GOP_Ireland
is a must see!
By far one of my favourite exhibitions I've seen there over the years, so many of my favourite Irish bodies of work in the one room
I know a lot of people have said this already but it's ironic seeing the same 6th years that campaigned for the LC to be canceled for "safety" posing in photos at seshes in theirs gardens on IG rn
I like summer but also kinda can't wait for those cold autumn and winter nights
(a combination of photos from over the years, last one is film, others are all digital)
As a young person from Offaly, can you please stop blaming us???
I'm sure there are some cases from house parties but the reason that there's a lockdown is because factory workers are being made work and live in close quarters with each other. Fuck the factory owners man
Portrait of Saul in 2017 (Digital)
Vs
Portrait of Saul 2020 (35mm)
Mad to see my style and composition improve.
Also funny that Saul was a poser as far back as 2017
The Always Sunny Podcast: Live In Dublin tonight was absolutely incredible, haven't laughed that much in a while. It's a truly special feeling to be in a room with thousands of other fans of your all-time favourite show
@TheSunnyPodcast
@3ArenaDublin
Normal person: I'm having a socially distanced sesh with a couple of people
Me : designs an entire fake festival with posters, a promotional campaign in the group chat, an actual fully illustrated site map, fake tickets, signage and more
Why am I like this
I've been listening to Denise Chaila for a long time now and I always thought she deserved way more attention and it's so good to see her finally getting that attention recently. She really is the future of Irish music
This was aimed at Irish people flying out of Dublin Airport but I think this has reached Brit Twitter, Irish twitter will understand the awkward politeness of avoiding the bathroom when you're in the window seat on an hour long as-cheap-as-possible Ryanair flight
I love that Kelly is putting so much effort into her student ID photo, using a ring light and all.
Whereas, me, the photographer in the relationship, took my student ID photo while drunk in Emma's bathroom because she had a white wall
My brother bought a life-size Hasbulla cutout and we've just been hiding it in weird places around the house to scare everyone and every few hours you just hear a scream from somewhere in the house as someone finds it
Happy Valentines day to the most amazing girlfriend I could ask for.
I could say soooo much sappy shit but I'll keep it to a minimum lol, I love you so much 💕
@wildfl0wergirl_
Haven't shot or posted anything in a long time but these are some images from a documentary project that I've been working on. I've put the project on pause for months and I haven't picked up a camera since before Summer so I'm posting these to maybe try and motivate myself lol
To the tune of "New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down"
- Malahide I Love You But You're a Nightmare to Get Home From
Shit Robot, Young Fathers, IDLES and LCD Soundsystem were excellent tonight - a rainbow even appeared
The Grandfathers Against Racism at The Spire earlier.
A group of legends. Went up and chatted to them for a few and told them they're doing great stuff and more people should be like them :)
I took this as a candid but the more I look at it, the more I realise how it's very my style. My lecturers always say I have good composition and I use lines and angles to frame really well.
I guess my eyes just subconsciously do this stuff
I had a conversation with my girlfriend the other day about things that lads do that make girls feel uncomfortable and I learned a lot from it.
We need to have these conversations with the women around us and learn. Lads, fuck your "not all men" bullshit, shut up and listen
The Killers at Malahide Castle was possibly the best gig I've ever been to, crowd were all so nice, venue was lovely, vibes were great. So unbelievably happy for The Academic, Blossoms were class too. The Killers were excellent, just all around an unreal night
Got very badly accidentally stuck in a bog hole earlier while out taking photos on the bog and it was fairly scary. Swampy bog is no joke, I was lucky I've been in bog holes before and knew how to react and luckily was able to phone my dad for help. Terrifying though
In celebration of Barry Cowen getting sacked, here's a throwback to February when he wrote to me to ask for my vote and I told my ma to put the letter in the fire :)
Boygenius and MUNA tonight, strong contender for best gig of the year for me.
MUNA were even better than I expected, will definitely be going to see them again at the weekend at EP
Idk about anyone else but online college is really fucking with my head. I'm planning out my week in my bullet journal and it's so hard finding out deadlines and when classes are because we're not getting information from one single place?
