Happy to share our new manuscript out today in @PLOSPathogens Great effort by Enkai Li, a new postdoc in the lab, the paper demonstrates that rotavirus NSP1 mediates viral dissemination to extra-intestinal organs and is responsible for biliary obstruction.

Super thrilled to receive the prestigious Michelson Prize @wustlmicro @michelsonmedrf @immuomePro We aim to engineer rotavirus vectors to immunize against enterotoxigenic E. coli. Both are devastating causes of infantile diarrhea and an effective dual vaccine will close this gap!

This provides a new mode of antiviral action of calpain inhibitors against SARS-CoV-2 in addition to inhibiting Mpro and endosomal cathepsins. A great collaboration with @seblabk and @CiorbaGI @WUSM_MolMicro
