Ridiculous. Were Drury, SBU and every gym in Greene and Christian counties unavailable? Maybe if MSHSAA made it more financially advantageous for these schools to host, they'd get commitments. Too busy squeezing $10 out of fans for district webcasts that were free all season.

While it truly sucks to be punished for doing a good deed for their community, the MSHSAA rule isn't new & is very clear - no in-season participation in your same sport. Someone at Houston High dropped the ball. I hope we stop running to lawyers whenever we disagree w/the rules.
MSHSAA has disqualified Houston volleyball from the state tournament and stripped them of their district title after ruling three players ineligible for participating in a charity volleyball tournament on October 21.
