It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there as an athlete. Most only think about what it takes to win, but it takes even more to bounce back from setbacks and injuries. Tomorrow I'm going to take this brave girl to @GorillasTrack for the next step in her journey.

So sad to report that we lost a good one this morning. Former Nixa Lady Eagle and UCM Jennie Riann Lubinski (Crouse) lost her battle with cancer. Riann taught Art @NixaHighSchool and formerly head TF coach. Miss her already

Just over 1 year ago Carlee had surgery to repair a torn labrum in her hip. It was a long, tough road to recovery in which she lost out on her freshman XC season and most of her freshman TF season. Today this little warrior ran a new PR in the Sectional race.

Another girls track record has fallen. Candy Wilson threw the shot 11.16m in 1977, she also placed 4th at the state meet. In 1974 she was 3rd in the Greene Cty Lge in the Softball Toss. Now Avery Muniz holds the record at 11.44 m. @nixaathletics @MoMileSplit
