Dylan caught the lightning strike with sleet in Desloge this afternoon. Precip is heavy where you are hearing thunder, including heavy snow in the metro and sleet farther south. Roads are a mess while it pours wintry precip-it will end quickly this evening

Day to day weather is St. Louis in general is not climate. Frequency of heavy rain and flooding are and this concerns me. However, there is nothing abnormal about a St. Louis ten day forecast that includes a period of scorching heat in the month of July.
I find it wildly disturbing that meteorologists like

smile and chuckle their way through these weather reports that include days upon days of scorching heat. Do your job: inform & educate about the causes and impacts of climate change! We’re in an actual crisis.

The WAMU weather guy is just positive.
