@DrNeilStone Just when I think people couldn't come up with a more ridiculous 'cure' than ingesting bleach...

@PeterWallaceAU Not true. Not sure if the 'doctoral' (PhD) threw you, but medical graduates from any country can't just come here and practise without supervision/assessment.

@TerryTHirsch @DrNeilStone Stopping vaccinating kids could drive diagnoses down - because more kids die of a vaccine-preventable disease before they are diagnosed.

@lesstenny And if you care for your parent at home (like we are) expect bugger all help. Gov has a fancy carer's support website. Forget practical help like some cleaning etc b/c you also work FT. All I got offered was 'you can join a support group'. Yeah heaps of time for that.

@evensteveens @lesstenny Rural areas you can't. To access the top level aged care package my mum would have had to be locked in paying about $800 per month even if the service provider couldn't provide full care. Don't get me started on the hoops to get district nursing post hospital.

@SpambotX @ExposingNV And the conflict of interest with RFK Jr profiting off anti-vax merchandise?

@ExposingNV As a journalist, I would be in big trouble if I sent an email like that (not just because it was poorly written) off my own bat. It would be the editor's decision not to call him a senator - and it wouldn't happen.

@ChrisKramer1973 @DrNeilStone But not in developing countries with poor sanitation - vaccines for the win.

@ExposingNV @reignitedemaust There is also the risk of diagnosing your kids when you're not a medical doctor. Onions won't cause an adverse event but not seeking medical help when they need it might. One looks young enough to be impacted by whooping cough if not vaccinated. Based on foot size.

@DrNeilStone How does he explain poppers still being available but HIV/AIDS now being effectively treated in many cases through anti-virals or prevented. I guess he'd probably say that the meds and PrEP that have been developed are actually anti-popper treatments.
