My latest article in @NikkeiAsia argues for India to fully allow private sector in the nuclear energy sector. Budget announcement on SMRs and recent reports of private sector interest are encouraging. However, effective implementation is key.

This episode excellently exhibits how the state and its arms take citizens for a ride. Seldom will they uphold law when it concerns the powerful. But would be first to unleash wrath on insignificant actors. A win-win tbh. Citizens can keep bickering but nothing actually changes.
