Labelling it work becomes about protecting the interests of the trade instead of protecting those who sell their bodies because they deem it to be the best/only option to secure a wage. Not to mention, “workplace hazards” are rape and abuse. This violence can not be reformed out.

lawyers claim the encampment is a "focal point for harm" based on unsubstantiated allegations. Despite 27 of their own security guards surveilling it, no such incidents were documented by them. Calling our protest/the call for Palestinian liberation “harmful” = APR.

Nah don’t blame or even equate overconsumption or even consumption of fast fashion (shein) to poor ppl!! Low income people are MORE likely to participate in sustainable fashion like recycling clothes, thrifting, etc. Middle class ppl who do hauls etc are fast fashion consumers.

I know many members who operate within the sex trade, most of whom admit that they are trapped within the subclass. Fight the industry, support the worker. And you mention choice— what is choice/agency when one deems getting abused/raped as the only option to earn a living?

This statement flattens the distinction between different industries and types of work. Wage labour DOES exploit people through extracting the surplus value of labour. But this is not sexual exploitation. Nor does all of it include a disproportionately high risk of male violence.

Actually we do not know how sexual relations will evolve in a communist society. What we do know is that prostitution would not exist or at-least in the way that it does today and keeping it legalized as it is only further oppresses mostly female-identifying ppl.

Trafficking is a condition of the trade as is coercion and violence. This is not about criminalizing it rn with capitalism as the hegemonic system in place. It’s about recognizing who the trade serves and that those who “choose” to engage safely are in the vast minority.
