@linguistMasoud The visa unfortunately is only the begininng. Even if it came in less than a month, it would likely be a single entry one, banning the international student to visit their family during their PhD, and keeping them from attending conferences elsewhere.

Do ETH and other institutions with similar bans inform applicants *before* they pay the application fee or refund them after an auto-reject? Or is keeping the money out of these students' pockets not against their policies?
It has not been reported much, but I believe ETH Zurich has, as of last week, banned new Master and PhD students who attended a long list of universities in China, Russia, and Iran. 🧵

Women who are voting for Harris have likely also taken note of how (and why) she is commonly referred to as “Kamala” and not Harris. No one ever said they were voting for “Ronald, Bill,” “George,” “Barack,” or “Donald.” Female physicians know this scenario all too well.

@TheTehranTimes /مثال خوبیه و ترویج به خشونت نمیکنه. ولی میلیونها مثال از همین ChatGPT و سیستمهای هوشمند دیگهای هستن که ترویج خودکشی٬ جنگ٬ و هزاران چیز دیگه میکنن (مخصوصا در زبانهای محدودتر) و تبلیغ در راستای استفادهی فلسفی (!) ازشون٬ تبلیغ مسئولانهای نیست.
