We did it, y'all! @JeremyLSinger & I wrote a book! Out March 25, preorder @Harvard_Ed_Pub now! Folks often agree that schools can't solve chronic absenteeism alone, but nearly all the strategies, accountability, & research are directed toward schools.

We have very little evidence on what schools are doing to address absenteeism. This paper begins to fill that gap by showing that high-absenteeism districts in MI are relying heavily on communication & incentives, with limited efforts to address barriers. Ungated link below, too!
