Fun fact about me: I worked at Matt Birk's failed restaurant and bar (Matty B's) for a brief time in my early 20s.
It was, unequivocally, one of the most poorly operated places I've ever set foot it, and he was what you'd call "Minnesota interesting."

Ooof. Reopening so soon after closing "indefinitely" and using it as an excuse to terminate rather than furlough staff in the midst of a union push makes it pretty clear it was all a union-busting move. Bad look, Surly.
Thanks to the remarkable progress being made on the vaccination front in MN, the Surly Beer Hall and Beer Garden will tentatively reopen on June 1st. This date may change as public health guidelines evolve. More updates as they become available. We look forward to seeing you.
