Today, I stood with world leaders at Auschwitz-Birkenau to honour Holocaust victims and reaffirm our duty to combat hatred and ensure such atrocities are never forgotten or denied. We remember the past and pledge to build a future rooted in dignity and peace.

Hard times reveal true friends. Thank you, Ursula @vonderleyen and the EU, for standing with Moldova against Russia’s energy blackmail. Grateful for the emergency response to support the Transnistrian region and for working with us on a long-term energy solution for all Moldova.

As part of my visit to Kyiv, I also met with the Speaker of the Rada, @r_stefanchuk. We explored ways for Moldova and Ukraine to deepen cooperation and develop concrete solutions to ensure regional stability. Our focus remains on delivering tangible results for our citizens.

I continued my visit to Kyiv today with a practical meeting with PM @Denys_Shmyhal. Moldova and Ukraine remain united in addressing shared challenges to regional stability. I am confident that by working together, we can deliver real solutions.

In Kyiv, I joined @ZelenskaUA at the National Cancer Institute, where brave children fight for their health. Their strength in the face of long-term struggles reminds us of the resilience we all need in difficult times. Wishing healing and peace to all.

Had a productive meeting with President @ZelenskyyUa in Kyiv. We discussed regional security, infrastructure links, trade, and EU accession. A particular focus was energy cooperation and resisting Russian blackmail. I am grateful for Ukraine’s solidarity.

In Kyiv today for talks with President @ZelenskyyUa. I bring a strong message of support for Ukraine and its people. Their courage secures our peace. We’ll discuss security, energy, infrastructure, trade, and mutual support on the EU path. Moldova remains a reliable neighbour.

Spoke with President @ZelenskyyUa about the humanitarian crisis in the Transnistrian region caused by Gazprom’s gas cutoff. We agreed to work together on solutions to prevent further suffering and protect people from Russia's weaponisation of energy.

Starting today, the euro becomes the reference currency for Moldova’s exchange rate. With over 60% of our trade and 70% of remittances in euro, the move strengthens our economic ties with the EU, bringing more stability and predictability for all Moldovans.

Wishing Poland and @donaldtusk a successful presidency of the EU Council. Moldova remains fully committed to advancing its path to EU accession. Together, we can achieve new milestones—for better lives for all Moldovans and a stronger, more secure Europe.

In a meeting on Moldova’s energy situation, we reviewed our preparedness. The right bank, free from Russian gas since 2022, is secured for winter, while efforts continue to ensure uninterrupted electricity. For the left bank, humanitarian aid is being coordinated with partners.

By cutting off gas to the left bank of the Nistru, the Kremlin seeks to destabilise Moldova and derail our European path. Yet, we remain focused on advancing Moldova’s energy diversification and resilience.

Today, as ever, we stand with the people of Georgia in their fight for freedom, democracy, and a European future. Your courage and determination inspire us all, and Moldova remains by your side on this shared path.

Very good call with PM @donaldtusk about Moldova’s progress on our EU accession path. I wished Poland a successful EU Council Presidency as we work together on key milestones for Moldova, including joining SEPA, implementing Roam Like at Home, and opening negotiating clusters.
