@AJamesMcCarthy I don't think any bugs are out at 28F but a bird is most likely! You are right it has to be closer to the ground being so out of focus.

@zwoastro 7 Years ago I created something much like the ZWO Seestar. It was a compact electronic imaging system.

@kyle_ferriter @MickWest Nice experiment showing that effect. Someone who is familiar with astrophotography should be able to equate that the tripod shaking causes exposure trails on bright stars. I would replicate this right now if my telescope wasn't attached to 500 lbs of concrete.

@tortugawest @aquietruth @OfUfo49597 You can see the atmospheric debris refract and 'pulse' in the light of the 'orb'. This means it's a point of light that is out of focus.

@MickWest I just heard a podcast about all the theories behind MH370's disappearance. There was one theory about some Russians hijacking the plane from an onboard terminal and another theory that the pilot was suicidal. Those seem more plausible than a VFX wormhole.

@ty_ty_81502 I am going tonight to see Wolfman. I purposefully haven't watched or read anything about it other than a few review headlines.

Didn't think I could see much with the waxing gibbous moon, but I still had fun tonight with the telescope. #astronomy #moon #jupiter #m42
