I am one of the residents that lost my spot due to the loss of accreditation of my program. Iโm on the lookout for a Cat-IM PGY1 spot that sponsors visas. Any help/guidance in this process would be greatly appreciated. TIA! @acgme @TheNRMP @Inside_TheMatch @jbcarmody
ACGME Accreditation Withdrawl ! Orphan Residents: "Orphan residents refer to medical residents or matched applicants whose residency program has lost its accreditation from the ACGME". โจThese individuals have the opportunity to transfer to any other residency program that accepts them, within the same specialty, regardless of where it's located. โจIf a residency program decides to accept an orphan resident, it's permitted to exceed its usual cap on resident numbers. โจTheir salaries will be covered by CMS. #MedTwitter #insidethematch #Match2024 #ACGME #NRMP #ECFMG #MedEd #Unmatched #Match2024 #Match2025
