@blondenerdx Amazing. Really hoping they turn it into an anthology series with a new cast/characters each season.

@DrCasteelEM Bc it would be impossible to accomodate the number of months they require now in 3 years. Theres 30 months of EM. That leaves 6 more months. You cant fit all these other required rotations in that 6 months with all the new Peds and ICU and ancillary requirements.

@olsonplanner I think that’s what brought a lot of people to the table about reform, but the more they looked into it, the more it seemed like to the decision makers fourth year was necessary. Not sure I agree, and voted as such in their poll on this months ago, but it is what it is.

@StevenBonebrake It’s probably going to reduce the number of graduates by 25% every year. It’s going to increase the labor shortage.

@reverendofdoubt @PIAEKGdoc1 Doubtful, I think the point will be that places will need to shrink their class size. For instance, a program that has 24 residents in a three year program would remain at 24, they will just match six a year instead of eight a year.

@NotoriousS1Q3T3 The next two match classes in 25 and 26 do not necessarily have to switch to four years. The 2027 match class will have to be a four year track.

@fuqekgs Thats awful, it seems like this is fairly common. Which honestly will limit the popularity of these meds longterm, or create lifelong customers, depending on the cost.

@LactatedRingers @olsonplanner Insurance is heavily subsidized by an employer, it’s definitely going to be more expensive than an independent contractor, but even this seems high

@saharbjones @mowwyjane @ConemaughEMres Depends on if you have any Heinz ketchup and can airfry that meat to cook it a bit more. 🤣
