The Acolyte has passed the most important test in this house, which is that the kid has requested to rewatch it multiple times. The past few days have been full of imaginative play based around the characters (the kid loves Jecki). That’s the only audience rating I care about.

Seeing lots of discussion minimizing Tobin’s plight in being homesick but it’s clear that beyond just generic homesickness, he feels like what he’s doing is unimportant. His extraordinary skill with a lightsaber shows that he desperately wants to be an extraordinary Jedi. (1/3)

Tbh the whole “nobody stays dead” thing is overblown imo. Out of people that had actual “death scenes,” we have Maul and Ventress, both linked heavily with Nightsisters. Who else has come back? Boba was never shown dead. It’s not like they are bringing back Kanan or Qui Gon.

Tonight’s rewatch was “In the Name of Honor” and I still contend that this is a great finale to BoBF. It’s Star Wars through and through. Action, heart and humor with amazing costumes/makeup and a killer musical score. Plus, Boba riding a rancor. C’mon!

After three watches of “Destiny,” I’ve been thinking a lot about the Jedi, Witches, self awareness and hypocrisy (a thread).
It’s an episode filled with layers and some of the most complex moral dilemmas we’ve seen in Star Wars. “From a certain point of view” definitely applies.

Rewatched the first few episodes of Ahsoka and was struck once again by how good this show is and how quintessentially Star Wars it feels. Lothal and Seatos are beautiful and the ship designs are especially cool too. These early eps grow on me with every rewatch.

I’m extremely intrigued by Qimir. There’s definitely more than meets the eye with this character and the performance so far by Manny Jacinto is great. Is he the Master or someone else higher up on the food chain than Mae? Can’t wait to see more.

I still love this whole opening scene. This episode doesn’t get talked about enough these days but it’s a stone cold classic and set the groundwork for everything that came after. I immediately knew I was going to love this character.

Popping in briefly to say that Outlaws is an absolute triumph. It’s completely immersive. The characters, music, scenery (the SCENERY!) are all 100% Star Wars, but also fresh. The planets are unique and fun to explore, and fans of the OT will find much to love. Highly recommend.
