@Hugh_96 The problem is the club game is dying in certain places & eating away at it will harm the game more. It’s good to see NZ journos recognise that the ABs being all encompassing isn’t necessarily good. Treating the club game like a guinea pig for law changes is really frustrating

@Hugh_96 @HuwTindall It’s a very aussie centric article. Which is fine but yeh, not great. Benazzi wanted genuine reform. The choice we got was a Bill Beaumont v.2. I’ll let his time in office do the talking but i’m not sure he’ll do much good. In fairness to BB he at least expanded the World cup.

@Hugh_96 @HuwTindall In what way? He is essentially Bill Beaumont v.2 who spent a lot of his campaign projecting the Australian League vs Union l code rivalry on rest of the sport. Benazzi wanted proper change and to help Tier 2 nations.
