@BetaTested @mattkvesic Won't help the Canadians either as most of their forwards are MLR based. Am really surprised this has been agreed in a RWC qualification year.

@JoJo_Flix @ItalianRugbyPod Agreed. There has to be a path to allow countries to grow rather than hit a glass ceiling. Relegation is not the answer so either expansion or some form of additional regional tournaments that happen mid WC cycle. Once every 4 years and replace the summer tour that year.

@T2Rugby @francisaac87 It is, but I would say the line out is the weakest area of our game currently, we don't appear to have a consistent thrower.

@RugbyVandaag @T2Rugby A lot is going to come down to how strong the matchday squads are, I am making no predictions on anything until we see those. Expect to see them coming through tomorrow.

@Ug71873056 @AmericasOval But that would make it lose relevance straight away. Teams could choose who they want but it can't be constrained artificially.

@T2Rugby @JamDelay @HoundsChicago There is good money there now from Eurovia for the youth set up, just need to find more funds for national XVs and we could push on. There are good BL players who can perform at the International lev and plenty of pros who cld come in, if the money is there.

@T2Rugby @just4rugby It's a shame now that for all countries chasing 5th, that their chances now rest on who they can get released from clubs or persuade to show. The former should be automatic.

@francisaac87 @rugby_europe Great article as always but one small point. Romania wasn't Ingle's debut, he has been in or around the team for a couple of years now. Excellent player, who could play higher but works as an F1 engineer with McLaren as well.

@ValerioPagnotta @AmericasOval To a degree yes but for example there are a number of eligible pros for Germany, who wld likely turn up for a Euros. And if it were a target every 4 years, you would start to see more players from T2 sides in top divisions - the gap would close over time.

@RugbyVandaag I do think the same 4 sides would have qualified anyway but the chance to have a final pool weekend with everything riding on it has been lost by giving the 2 sides arguably most likely to gatecrash the top 4 the toughest schedules possible.
