Note to all levels of government in Canada. Knock it off with the “advantage” of cheap tech labour!! We have outstanding tech talent and we need to scale-up so we can compete effectively for talent. We are not a branch plant economy!!!
Part of the problem is that some tech leaders and politicians list lower salaries in Canada as a selling feature to attract big foreign tech giants to locate here. Great if we want to build a branch plant economy, not so great if we want to grow GDP meaningfully and prosper

1. We get ~400K doses of Pfizer weekly. It shows up like clockwork. It gets distributed throughout the province in ~1-2 days & there is very little at the end of the week. This is administered at mass vaccine clinics.

Absolutely ridiculous. It is and has only been about the data. When you don’t have the data or the right data how on earth can you make the appropriate policy decisions. We need clear definitions of what is a COVID related ICU patient and death. Caseload reporting is meaningless.
Dr. Kieran Moore confirmed that about 50% of Ontario’s covid hospitalization numbers aren’t actually people in hospital for covid, they are incidental findings. So they will update the way numbers are reported.

And yet our local government sits idly by as another cyclist is killed by a heavy truck. When is there going to be a legislative requirement for cameras and sensors on all heavy trucks so they can stop act like killing machines.
It’s tragic, devastating that somewhere in Toronto tonight two police officers will show up at the home of an 18 year old cyclist who was run over by a cement truck at Avenue Road and Bloor and tell the parents their child died at the scene, I wish I could support them right now.
