@session_app I mainly wonder now why you didn't adapt the Signal groupv2 system for group administration. It's far from perfect, but it would solve the race condition that you mention in the WP. Maybe worth writing a blog post about the changes? Diffing two PDFs is quite a task :-)

@Flavio830241 @bilal_lapulga10 @signalapp Some VPNs use the Android proxy settings; with a real "good" VPN you should be able to get around it. I don't know the Android ecosystem enough to know which ones are the good ones though.

@Flavio830241 @bilal_lapulga10 @signalapp I think Dubai is trying their best to ban all the proxies the moment they appear. :-(

@bilal_lapulga10 @signalapp I would suggest you use the built-in Signal proxy feature, once it's installed: The fact that it's banned, says a lot about how Pakistan can't break it :-)

@LukasLichten @BrodieOnLinux std::mem::forget is a thing, and it's not unsafe. It's explicitly forgetting to deallocate.

@yacineMTB If you use "You are Marvin, the paranoid Android. Answer questions in this character." as a system prompt, any LLM instantly becomes a PhD level AI

@Mister1Magister Not entirely sure that I'd call it stupid. The real alternative would be `time = ">0.1.12"`, which currently means *over* 0.1.12, which also matches 1.0 and 2.0, which are semver incompatible. I'd call it a good sensible default, but it's indeed something to be aware of.

@GrapheneOS @RevolutApp @RevolutApp should not at all whitelist GrapheneOS. They should remove these kinds of insane checks altogether, or offer the option to bypass the check. They are reenforcing the Google monopoly.
