Basically my son is special needs and originally I was retiring here as my healths been bad...I wanted to set up the chalets to give disabled kids/adults a chance to come have a break and meet our animals (rescue horses, goats n chickens etc)....1

Update on the "lodgers" down to 10 as one chap left after 2 days...he said he couldn't cope being off the streets 😢 the rest are really settled In and are all safe and well their food boxes came today...I'm treating them all to a chicken curry tonight....1

It's so easy to rectify black mould and normally quite cheap to resolve I am more than happy to help resolve issues in the North Yorkshire area i am an interior designer with a team of tradesman more than happy to help this time of year as work is quiet for my lads

Good luck to Ian (one of my homeless lodgers) we have managed to get him a flat in Harrogate as well as a part time job in a bakery which could lead to full time after covid restrictions nice fella he deserves this break

Got my next chemo session at 12.45 and then tomorrow its radiotherapy .. So the next few days food for me will comprise of ryvita / rich tea biscuits / and I might get naughty and have dry toast and marmite 😂😂

Was chatting with one of the homeless ladies I have on the farm on Monday and she told me it was her moms birthday... I talked her into giving her a call on my house phone...result of that is her mom visited her yesterday...and she has gone back to live with her after 5yrs 👏👏

Am really chuffed...one of my homeless lodgers "Andy" has been working for me on the farm now for almost 4 months...Today he asked me can I help him get a bank account to save a few pennies each week...
What may be an everyday thing to us...to a homeless person is huge 👏

Well said buddy...I've been doing exactly same thing past 3 weeks in the Hawes/Masham/Coverdale areas I do a weekly radiotherapy run as I go their same day and 3 days a week I drive my minibus on a covid jab run...I have a poster in chemists in those areas and folk book that way

Another birthday almost over..since being diagnosed with cancer almost 7yrs ago I don't celebrate like most folk do ... I don't see it as another year older...I just smile privately and think "its another year being alive" please folks, don't take life for granted ☺

My dad would have been 85 today... he died 6 years ago...I still talk to his photo everyday people think I'm mad when I walk thru the hallway and say "alright dad" as long as we miss them they will forever be with us

Mate I have had cancer for almost 7 years...the treatment has caused my gums to crumble..my upper teeth have gone..i can no longer get an erection and am scarred all over...but I still laugh and am alive ..i don't care what folk think of me I know I'm a good bloke...

2...hope its still a treat after they have tried my cooking 😂 on the whole they are loners and keep themselves to themselves but occasionally one will come up and offer to walk the dog round the fields or feed the chickens great bunch of people but very private

Happy to say another of my homeless friends has now left my farm...we managed to get him onto a drugs rehab programme and found him a job working for a businessman and friend of the charity...Martin I wish you well mate .... now there are 5 👍😀👍

Out of respect for my homeless "lodgers" on the farm I have not wrote much on here.. but I am very happy to announce one of my lodgers now has a home AND a job....i gave him the keys to his own chalet this evening and gave him a job working for me

Just hated the thought of them being out alone and scared...had a call from the council questioning their safety i said every chalet has solar panels hot water and fully contained...a gp has offered to take them as patients short term they get food clothes and heating

My mom and brother live in Spain...during this pandemic my brother died of a brain tumour..i can't get to Spain as I have cancer...my mom cannot come here right now due to Covid and her health..i have at most 2 years to live and right now doubt il see my mom again

A very sad day today. After seven years of medical training and hard work, a very good friend of mine has been struck off after one minor indiscretion. He slept with one of his patients and can now no longer work in the profession. He was a great vet 😂

Everytime I go for radiotherapy I give the girl in the hospital cafe a tenner to buy a couple of nurses a bacon sandwich each week...if everyone did a little bit to show nhs we appreciate them doesn't take a lot to give a bit back x

Overheard a nurse earlier crying to a colleague about being unable to afford her rent this month as her bills have all come at once...I did a bit of spying and worked out she was 300 quid short so...me being me got my cousin to wheel me down to the foyer to the cashpoint...1

15 years sober today
I will always be an alcoholic I just no longer need a drink... if you are struggling take strength from me...take it one day at a time, days become weeks, weeks become months ... it gets better 👍

I set up my self sufficient charity during lockdown...Instead of owning a farm where disabled adults can have a holiday and spend time with my animals I turned the chalets into homes for the homeless...covids been devastating to me but I still help others ..life's too short

Had the go-ahead to open 2 chalets for my charity last week...today 3 disabled guests and carers arrived for a week of fun ...today they met the llamas and swam in the indoor pool..tonight we are having outdoor pizzas and a disco

I noticed on the alarm sensor pad the main gate was open so I walked down to lock it..its about a km walk suddenly out of the woods walks a young deer..I say "ello mate" and walk to the gate...walking back I see him, and he walks beside me right to the door..luvvly😀
