Health sciences librarian & interdisc PhD. I love my windswept Atlantic Canadian province. she/her #canmedlibs #medlibs #MedEd #HPE #QualitativeMethods

@alisonburnis A short walk across campus can be nice… a two hour drive across the province for a meeting that could have been an email, less so. I hope we never give up virtual/hybrid accessibility.

@CathVoutier @angspenc I’ve been keeping all work related searches in a joint accounts on all databases for years. If I win the lottery, the last thing I’ll want to deal with is shifting over searches before starting my fabulous new life. I plan to start addressing finished searches to our dataverse.

What a pleasure to have this conversation w/ my collaborators & the hosting journal editor about this project to put review methods resources in the hands of researchers and MedEd/HPE decision makers. Can’t wait to listen!
Gail M. Sullivan, MD, speaks with the creators of our Literature Review Series, @rmnparker, @ammacleod, and @LaraVarpio about the need for understanding reviews and why there might be a better approach to your #MedEd question than a systematic review

So pleased to see this out in the world! Now I can properly cite it when I use the very helpful figure created by @LaraVarpio.
You're gonna wanna add this @JournalofGME article about how to choose the right literature review to your reference file. It's fantastic! #MedEd @LaraVarpio @ammacleod Understanding the Differences That Differentiate: A Model for Deciding Which Literature Review to Conduct

My favourite week! (In my profession life anyway) Such a pleasure to teach and learn with you and the other instructors and participants!
It is Evidence Synthesis Institute Canada week. And having a group of ES-loving librarian instructors to banter with, before and after, each day is the best! Also, being able to spend 4 days teaching and learning about Evidence Synthesis is such a pleasure. #ESICanada

@alisonburnis Now I’m upset that your camera wasn’t working today! We need more of Mallow at ESI! Please fix this for tomorrow.

@JRJCHAIR @DalMedSchool @DalBMSA @PLANS_DAL @dbdli @OfficeofANSA Sounds like a wonderful event! Will there be a link available to watch online? I won’t be in Halifax that day but would love to hear Dr. Jones’ keynote.

@alisonburnis As part of my preparation for my upcoming leave, I have started unsubscribing from all the crap that comes into my inbox instead of just deleting. Hoping 7 weeks is sufficient time to passively purge!
