Magic players are like the Vegans of the TCG world. No matter what TCG you're playing, they're gonna let you know that they play Magic and its better than your game. Even tho they might be shit at it, they just want to enjoy that extra pat on their own back.

I don't understand why people shit on coaching in TCGs. Unlike sports or video games, players aren't limited to their physical talents or attributes. If you're shit a game, a proper coach and training sched can turn you into a top player. Top players also get lessons from peers.

The low rarity cards for OPTCG should be affordable and cheap. Idgaf about $200 alt art leaders or 1k manga rares as long as a cheaper version is available for everyone to use. Borsalino and Katakuri SEC are problematic for the barrier of entry.

Decks toxic. Very skillful to pilot. Skill checks your opponent and most players don't know how to count so they fail the check. Near autowins some meta decks for lack of tools available in color. Terrible design for a game without a side deck.
Nami is a terribly designed leader that removes a huge part of what makes the TCG so amazing to play at a high level. Top player skill expression goes out the window. Anyone could do well with Nami, just counter attacks and mill deck…dumb. Law is banned soon 👎🏼

I finished 7-3 at NA Nationals. Played 6 games of Saka mirror and lost 3. Saka is broken, tournament sucked badly, judges/staff were great. I solely believe BCP and a lack of staff was the main issue behind all the time problems. I'm going to be playing Fusion World until op06.
