there's no blockchain without decentralization, otherwise it's a database on a server. that's why ethereum has to win.

interesting, i think ethereum strongest suit is as a settlement layer, because of it decentralization, permisionless nature & it's focus on L2s not evm. it's easier to build a better vm, move apps to it than replicating ethereum. it started as PoW, then moved to PoS for a reason.
