This morning, I had surgery on my ACL and Menisci that I tore a few weeks ago. I am beyond excited to start this 9 month recovery with the encouragement from my coaches, teammates, and friends and family. I am extremely grateful for the support I have surrounding me!

I am a little over 5 months post ACL surgery and today was my first time trying a 100% sprint. My speed is one of the things I value about myself as a player and I can’t wait to keep working on it from here.

Half way through my ACL surgery, and this is my first time touching a ball since February, I still can’t cut and shuffle so I felt anxious and cautious but it still felt good to get touches on the ball.

I hit week 10 on Thursday since the start of my ACL recovery, and Physical Therapy is really working me to gain my strength back! 💪

On Tuesday, my high school team came out with a brilliant WIN against Eaton High school using our grit and teamwork to fight through the physical battle. Sadly, I had to endure one of the scariest and hardest conclusions of tearing my ACL and Meniscus. I pray for a fast recovery!

A little over 3 weeks ago I was finally able to start running, and the first week I could barely run a lap on the track, to last week running a 12 minute mile, to this week chopping it down to a 10 and a half minute mile. I’m proud of myself for only making progress. 💪

From crutches for 6 weeks to finally being able to walk again. If anything this injury has taught me so far is that healing takes patience!💪

This weekend my team participated in the North Carolina ECNL Showcase resulting in 2 Wins and 1 lost. Although I can’t play due to my ACL injury, I still feel so much joy when my teammates show out and play their very best!

Only just two days apart but new mile PR since being able to run again, chopped a little less than 30 seconds from Thursday🙌. Tearing my ACL has taught me that healing takes a lot of patience. I still have over 5 months of healing to do.
