30 Players is not a big size for a college soccer team. Must field 11 all year, so 22 travelers are needed as 2-deep. Of 30, 3-4 are keepers who won't all travel. 3-4 carry injuries. Once school starts, 1-2 face academic issues. This leaves intense competition for 22 travel spots
