This mornings first job was to take 22026 to St Helens for new shock absorbers. They’ve not been replaced in 13 years, so hopefully will make a massive improvement!

Finally… I’ve found my favourite Scania, and surprise surprise, it’s the oldest
15472 is on loan at Preston currently, and originally one of our old X2 buses, fitted bizarrely with what appear to be Megabus seating (only comparison I can give)

Working on Boxing Day means one MASSIVE bonus, easy loan opportunities. Bolton work was open, so 8s , 37s & 501s for me.
Always been a childhood dream to drive the 8, I grew up on them, the BYDs are a little different to the B10LAs

First start up for 604 in around 6 years this afternoon, and it’s like she’s never been away. She sounds sweet as a nut tbf to her, no fighting, just an easy start

Today I’ve been at Bolton. Had 6228 for my first half on 21/22s, and 3280 on my second for some Withins’.
Have to say the ZF on 6228 was fantastic. I was more impressed with the B9, I’ve been wanting to drive one for so long and they’ve not let me down, absolutely gorgeous

One thing I will say is firsts interior works really well on a 200, makes them look very open and spacious.
Nice buses these tbf, just don’t visually look great 😂

Seen as 4143 has come on loan from Bolton, managed to take it on my 640/641s this morning. Seems a bit nippier than our Wigan ones, but a lot rattlier.
9002 (Ex GNE 4982) has also appeared, managed to take it round the yard. Only issue, it’s made me miss ours even more
