Try and put politics aside for a second and recognize that the speed, coordination, and sophistication of the Trump administration's first two weeks in office is absolutely remarkable. At this pace, this will be the most consequential presidency of any of our lifetimes

@DanMcGowan RIDE's aversion to public comment and they're refusal to have transparent decision making has eroded any faith they can do the job effectively. I just don't think its a coincidence that the push to get them back this year is at the same time the Mayor needs to exceed the tax cap

@DanMcGowan @psychfugues @GovDanMcKee @PVDMayor @AshleyKalus @CoreyJonesPVD Well hopefully this crop of board members get their act together and prove its a functional model so theres no urgency to have to reset. If they can't get it together, public opinion could swing quickly away from the hybrid setup

@DanMcGowan @psychfugues @GovDanMcKee @PVDMayor @AshleyKalus @CoreyJonesPVD Right but its still just the City charter. If there's a conflict with a state law, that overrides (for example: residency requirements). If GA passes legislation to hand schools back, they can override the school board model

@DanMcGowan @psychfugues @GovDanMcKee @PVDMayor @AshleyKalus @CoreyJonesPVD If McKee and the Mayor don't like the model, could they agree to change it as part of whatever legislation is passed to hand the schools back?

@RayBaccari @CoreyJonesPVD @TyR_Stephens Absolutely insane to think someone running to be the school board president could send something like that to a colleague. Resignation makes more sense than president. And we wonder why our schools are failing...

But Elizabeth Warren told me this guy was a drunk who wouldn't be able to function on the job... There's a very real reason that military recruitment is way up and we need to give this guy serious credit for stepping into the role and setting the example from the very top

Strength equals readiness. Kicked off the day with PT alongside the warriors of 1/10 SFG. No bureacracy—just sharp minds, strong bodies, and a mission-first mindset.

What is being exposed is moral corruption on behalf of our political leaders who have failed to put their constituents first for decades. MAGA isn't the slogan that got trump elected, it was "America First." Americans are getting real insight into just how much was going out the door instead of being spent helping them. Why are democrats not angered that a Dem congress and President failed to address student loans, universal healthcare, and other core policy initiatives their base wanted because it would cost too much? After seeing just how much money is being redirected overseas for pet projects in hundreds of countries, it is clear as day money wasn't the issue. The sad reality is that DC has been run for a long time (by both parties) with a focus of saving the world rather than improving the lives of the American people. DC is a morally bankrupt den of liars who are rightfully scared and angry about the American people getting a direct insight into how little their elected officials cared about them.

@AlexaGagosz @BostonGlobe High schools need to spend a lot more time talking with students about the value proposition of higher ed. $400k for an undergrad degree is insanity and won't possibly be the value add that it used to be. So many better pathways available for young people to improve their lives

@projo I'd understand concerns about CD2 given the results of the last election. I'm surprised to see a puff piece for CD1 coming out already. Must be real concern about republicans trying to make a push for a congressional seat in the 2026 elections

This should be a concerning trend for Democrats. Young people flocking to a rebranded military that is undergoing ideological reform. Party leadership are in for a shock if they think David Hogg is going to be the answer to attracting young voters back to the party

BREAKING: In December 2024, the @USArmy had its best recruiting number in 12 years. In January 2025, the Army hit its best recruiting number in 15 YEARS. BOTTOM LINE: America’s youth want to serve under the bold & strong “America First” leadership of @realDonaldTrump.

@AaronRegunberg Has the Dem party lost the will to fight? Or are they just so disorganized they can't get out of their own way?
