A young girl I know just got broken up with, she’s 20 he’s 22. The reason: the boys mother doesn’t think the girl is good enough for her son because she’s the only active member of the church in her family.

People are sick and tired of being told how they must feel on LGBTQ issues. Stop telling us what our opinions have to be on these issues. I can love my LGTBQ neighbors and also know that the lifestyle is completely unhealthy and in opposition of Gods teachings. I really can.

My dad is from a tiny California town called covelo, he was about 8 years old when the missionaries converted and baptized his entire family. 60 years later we moved to a small eastern Utah town where we discovered that the missionary who converted my dad is in our stake.

A sister missionary spoke in our ward from Wyoming, she was baptized two yrs ago, went through the temple a year ago and has been on her mission 6 months. Her brother was very recently baptized and her mom is now taking the discussions. Got chills when she shared that. Amazing.

Update on my nephew for those who remember. We are adopting him and he will be in our custody come May. Prayers that everything works out and the adjustment for us all and can go as smoothly as possible. My triplets are 10 so this is going to feel like a jump back in time.

Busy, kicking off the first week of swim. The point I wanted to make about BYU is there are professors there that are teaching against the standards of the church. Teaching correct principles is not an unreasonable standard at a religious school, subsidized by tithing.

I have wondered if many who leave the church have so much animosity because they can’t truly deny the spiritual experiences they had, that testified to them, so they carry a lot of resentment for that and try to talk and prove their spirit away from it. It doesn’t seem to work.

I served in Russia, it was very cold, and dark, knocking doors was often all we had to fill our time. One day I was really struggling as door after door slammed in our faces and it was freezing. My little Mongolian companion who stood to my elbow, was holding up much better.

Orem temple open house. It was busy, but lovely. The cherry blossoms were absolutely my favorite and as much as I love the Provo city center and manti temples this one is definitely at the top of my favorites. The colors are so nice.

My brother was in the marines, half of his platoon was from Utah and Mormon, the other half from Vegas, they called themselves the sinner and saints. They got shirts made and when they went to Iraq they were the first to go in, the news also called them sinners and saints.

Just saw a video of a female who had bottom surgery that was covered by the same insurance provider I have. As a mom of triplets and 5 children total, I cannot get my insurance to cover the cost of repairing my muscle separation and extra skin. This genuinely bothers me.

At the lake today it was very windy a couple small little girls got too far out and couldn’t swim back against the waves. I had to swim out and get them. Thankful I am a strong swimmer so I could do that. The mom was very thankful.

Not gonna lie, have had some personal things, minor, but stacked up against me these last couple weeks and church was incredibly uplifting and renewing. I am so thankful for that. Don’t know how people face life’s trials without the support of the gospel and church family.

Our first home as a family is burning to the ground as I type this. I am so sad. We put so much work into this home. It was basically a new home when we moved. The poor little family that lives there now is young and I pray they’ll be okay after all this. I just feel so bad.

My husband has a cross tattooed on his arm he got it before he came back to church. I am not at all offended by the cross on his arm. We should not let ourselves be offended or worried over these things. It’s a positive symbol in Christianity.
