🗳️ The latest on the KFA presidential election: Candidate Shin Moon-sun has made a request to give voting rights to 300 voters, per maximum allowed by the KFA’s own policy, as opposed to keeping a hard cap on the current 173 voters. Chung Mong-gyu surely won’t like this 😏
🗳️ KFA asked National Election Commission to manage their presidential election due to allegations of incumbent president Chung Mong-gyu having an unfair advantage, but now, the NEC has REJECTED the KFA's request, citing "scheduling conflict." WTF? This bullshit just won't end.

Son Jun-ho's statement on the allegation: "The teammate was a close friend during my time in China. We often cared for each other's families and exchanged gifts. We've sent money to each other as friends. The money had nothing to do with any illegal transactions or match-fixing."

🧑⚖️ The other MLS club that showed interest in Jeong Ho-yeon this winter was DC United, but their offer fell short of triggering his buyout clause. Meanwhile, I'm told that #MNUFC still value Jeong Sang-bin, but are considering their options for him.
🇺🇸 Another interesting development here is that Gwangju midfielder Jeong Ho-yeon, whose camp has been in talks with clubs in MLS this winter, is with the same agency as Kim Joon-hong, but I'm hearing that Jeong is now leaning towards staying put at Gwangju for 2025. More to come.

@Netralitasku @TheAsianGame @firzieidris I don't disagree, but with such a big change in personnel in the squad, I do think it's logical for the federation to reevaluate how compatible the coaching staff is to their new-look team. I don't "agree" with sacking Shin, but I can't write it off as total nonsense either.

@radaibeatboxer Korea tried that with European coaches in 2018 and it didn't go too well. That doesn't mean it'd fail with Indonesia too, but covering deficiencies with one assistant is really easier said than done.
