If Sproul, a post-millennialist, could esteem MacArthur, a dispensationalist, and vice versa you'd think today's generation could do the same. They don't. May our eschatologies be optimistic enough to believe we can grow in grace, honest enough to know we're all still sinners.
Sometimes our grievous sin reveals we are not in Christ. Sometimes our grievous sin reminds us why we need Him. Few times anyone at a distance knows which.
I have a vaccine passport that affirms my liberty to travel anywhere in this country. I keep it at the National Archives, under glass. Plus it has autographs from Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, Ben Franklin and more.
What would judgment of a nation by God look like? Mothers murdering their children? Men burning for men? Kids being chemically castrated? We're not in danger of judgment. We're in the middle of it.
More than 1600 babies, some having their heads severed, others burned alive, were massacred yesterday by bloodthirsty terrorists. Here in the US, with the full support of the government and the full knowledge of every citizen. The same will happen today.
"I saw your sins on wikipedia," "You're an embarrassment to your father," "no one would've heard of you w/o your last name" are neither new nor potent rejoinders. My sins Jesus died for. They're on wikipedia b/c of my last name. My father, like it or not, was proud of me.
The first Adam ran from the Father, hiding in the garden of Eden, because of His sin. The Last Adam ran to the Father, praying to Him in the Garden of Gethsemane, because of my sin.
Two of my favorite spots in the Bible- Moses calling himself the most humble man in the world and John mentioning that he beat Peter in a foot race to the tomb.
Too many men give more respect to ignorant, unbelieving pugilists who get one thing right than believing, faithful shepherds who got one thing wrong. We should, even when our fathers err, do better than this.
Compare Sean Strickland and Alistair Begg over the last 24 hours.
People act like talk of testosterone and masculinity is just low-IQ machismo, but it actually really, really matters.
Pulpits are filled with weak men like Begg who have all the outward trappings of “godliness”
Public people, like my father, before they are public, are people. Every biting comment, tidbit of speculation, stings. Not because public people are due universal love, but because they're due the same respect less public people receive. via

Attending a faux marriage ceremony is not a tacit endorsement of it. It is an actual endorsement of it. Marriage ceremonies are not mere events we attend but covenants we take part in, serving as witnesses.
I'm more stupid, sinful, selfish, insensitive, insulting, insecure, prideful, polluted and priggish than my critics can begin to understand. My Father, however, calls me His beloved son.
@joehaden23
What a great sense of humor. Doug Plank, Bears safety back in the day was getting yelled at by the coach OJ, late in his career, scoring past him. “Plank, we pay you $65,000 to make that tackle.” Plank replied, “But coach, the Niners pay OJ $250,000 to break that tackle.
Is it possible that the growing leftism of Big Eva was always there but was once too ashamed to publicly abandon the unborn? And that they have now lost that shame?
I do not fear the rising totalitarianism of the left because they can't take anything my Father doesn't allow them to take. And He is altogether trustworthy.
I’m not hip to anti-Semitic code language but I do know the first creed of the church was Christos ho Kurios, Christ is Lord. Our fathers were martyred for it because Rome’s “pledge of allegiance” was Caesar ho Kurios. I confess Christ’s universal reign without apology.
@BenZeisloft
You labored diligently to handle this well. I appreciate that. It is still, however, full of speculation & error. You’re not in a position to comment on a man’s health, life and habits that you did not know. I suggest you take this down & find a better way to make your point.
Unborn babies aren’t able to believe. Infants aren’t able to believe. Children aren’t able to believe. Young adults aren’t able to believe. Old adults aren’t able to believe. For everyone it takes a miraculous gift from the living God. He has mercy on whom He has mercy.
Serious question- if Justice Brown Jackson believed that Jewish people were subhuman who could be killed at will, would any Christian be celebrating her appointment in any way shape or form?
If abortion is a losing proposition to Republicans perhaps we who know abortion is murder might want to find a party that picks its issues on the basis of what is right and true.
Praying that Paul Maxwell, Joshua Harris, and every other ex-vangelical will experience the unbearable pain and emptiness of life apart from Christ, that they are sheep and that the Good Shepherd will bring them home.
What if, stay with me now, when a person shoots the innocent, we don't blame the gun, the shooter's ideology, anyone's skin color, or systemic whateverism but blame the one pulling the trigger? Just crazy enough that it might work.
Those churches that, with good intentions, adjust their worship to appeal to the lost may find themselves adjusting their doctrine for the same reason.
Can we all agree that racism is wicked, the gospel is for all of us, & Jesus changes everything? The woke attacking the unwoke, the unwoke attacking the woke- stop. He told us what He requires. Let us act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with our God.
A day is coming when there will be no sickness, no scarcity, no fear, no loneliness. I know this because Jesus already lives there. Jesus changes everything.
@lecrae
You’re not listening then brother, except to liberal talking points. It’s true I as a defender of life am not calling for more gov’t programs. I am, however, committed to serving victims of injustice, born and unborn.
When you enter that booth, forget all the rhetoric and rancor. Forget all the stats and signs, all the ads and accusations. Remember the babies being murdered with the full protection of the law.
I'm having a hard time even beginning to grasp the hot takes that suggest the Christian thing to do is to let a man shoot your brothers and sisters in Christ while doing nothing. I'm all for martyrdom. Some guy shooting people in church isn't martyrdom.
My greatest earthly fear was that my earthly father would be disappointed in me. My greatest earthly comfort is that my Heavenly Father delights in me. My earthly father taught me the gospel of Jesus.
2 years ago today God used my own foolish, wicked choices to radically change my life. I should have known He was blessing me, and my family. Thank you Lord for your faithful love.

People do terrible things. People. Not white people. Not black people. Not blue people. Not Democrat people. Not Republican people. Not male people. Not female people. People. It's not us vs. them. It's just us, and we're all losing.
A day is coming when there will be no sickness, no scarcity, no fear, no loneliness. I know this because Jesus already lives there. Jesus changes everything.
Alistair Begg publicly confronts the zeitgeist by clearly affirming God’s condemnation of homosexuality. He publicly errs in encouraging a woman to attend a homo “wedding.” Internet Christian heroes boldly challenge his masculinity, ANONYMOUSLY, b/c they’re afraid for their jobs.
Today is a dark day in American history, as was yesterday. 2500 babies killed in their wombs both days, with the full legal protection of the federal government.
Because I believe sin crosses political lines, I can certainly believe pro-Trump people rioted in DC today. Because I believe sin runs deep in all of us, I can also certainly believe those on the other side of the aisle could be lying about who is rioting.
I'm more stupid, sinful, selfish, insensitive, insulting, insecure, prideful, polluted and priggish than my many critics can begin to understand. My Father, however, calls me His beloved son.
