9 years ago today I walked out of my marriage to my ex wife, I walked down the road to the police station with nothing but my clothes on my back and my phone and wallet Nothing else. The police immediately took my to hospital with a broken jaw and 4 broken ribs & lots of bruises

There has been lots of dark days but I’ve overcome them with love and support from family and friends, the only thing I can say is there is a future afterwards

It’s taken up to a couple of months ago to clear that debt, every bonus and all the overtime I did between then and recently went on getting rid of that debt, I finally feel free to look at my future as an independent individual

I filed for divorce from my ex wife and we split the debt evenly, at the time I felt ashamed that I had to walk out and was the lesser person for it but years later I know better and I am a better person for it

I lost a lot of friends over the divorce and I can only count a handful of true friends from my school days but i can honestly say I made the right decision then and i would make it again, has it been hard, yes very

In the following 24 hours I was treated for my injuries and made a statement and the police went round to the house where I called home for 7 years and collected my belongings for me and I was moved from various hotels for a number of months for safety reasons

EMR class 810 will not be in service till 2025
Today,
@EastMidRailway
810001 ran from Newton Aycliffe back to RIDC, via Peterborough. EMR has recently said that the 33 x 810s will now not enter service until early 2025, but all should be in service by Dec’25. More about EMR’s fleet plans in the next TR UK. 📷 James Garthwaite

Currently sitting in the 1st class lounge at Edinburgh station with a view, my dad has never been in a lounger before but has travelled 1st class just waiting for the 13:30 back to Newcastle which I believe is the train on platform 5 the LNER train in view 👍
