Albeit, this is an OHCA trial - generalizability to an IHCA may be low. But it does seem like there is a potentiality to make things worse

@DrJenGunter If you look under the “Recommended Regimens for BV” section of the new CDC guidelines they discuss a lack of evidence for the disulfiram reaction and cite their source. This may be the closest thing to the FDA removing the warning

@MatthewGoss12 @RyanMarino Kind of. An active metabolite of midazolam is renally cleared. So, you can have accumulation of the metabolite in renal impairment. But, with a one time dose, this likely isn’t a huge deal. Just need to be aware there’s a chance the drug will have a longer duration/sedation

@Deadlnfluencer It’s literally b/c they’re trying to make up for staffing shortages in the hospital by making HCW work through COVID instead of addressing the actual underlying causes of the shortages. Basically, using a bucket to get water out of a sinking ship
