RC Pro Am does seem to load for a fraction of a second but then NES flashing red LED takes over. Super Off Road just flashes the LED. Plenty of other games work fine in the NES.

Who knew the CD module was needed for audio timing/filtering? I certainly didn't. It may not be timing or filtering specifically but that seemed to be my symptoms and attaching the drive resolved it.
